Biography:
I was born in Illinois and have lived in California for half of my many years. I made an eight year stop along the way in North Carolina. My father was a doctor (GP and surgeon). My mother was a graduate of the University of Iowa School of Journalism. I graduated Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois with a BS Degree in Mechanical Design and Graphics with a minor in art. I learned basic life drawing and watercolor painting at Bradley. My degree carried me through a long career as a product designer in the door automation and security industries. I hold several patents on door control and life safety hardware designs. I am currently retired but dedicate my time to both fine and digital art. During most of my adult life I rode BMW and Honda motorcycles, often on long tours.
